Don't know about hi-speed Daytona but I wouldn't mind taking my M for a spin round this fine track..reasons to be cheerful are many and looks much safer that the crowded Nordschleife.

OK....
M Power Belgium and M5theonlyone....you MUST start a new thread entitled Circuits of the Past (or Motorsport Remembered or something like that)....re-post the great info to-date; it's going to be lost in the 2021 F1 thread we've been posting in....I'm sure I"m not the only motorhead that would immerse in a deep-dive into motorsport history!

Beut to watch Max at Honda's 'home' banked track giving it full whack right on the outside.
Another not so that old track that got my attention is the Clermont-Ferrand track also known as Circuit de Charade in the middle of France.
Chris Amon holds the lap record of 2min 53.9 set in a Matra MS120 back in '72 with 104mph average speed.

GREAT onboard footage; I was struck at how very smooth the racing surface is; the transition from banking to straights is the perfect angle(s); can you post info re this track? lap distance? degrees banking? location? any data on VER's lap times or top speed?

The 2020 RB chassis is already outstanding . Everything will depend from the Honda power source .
A close battle with Merc would be awesome !

I don't expect miracles from Ferrari... But last season in 4-5 races they *had* a miracle

Yes..RBR's short announcement and indeed by it's sister team that Honda 'will' be supplying engines in 2021 wasn't exactly 100% sure footed and Honda have exited F1 over the years more than any other manufacturer.
Max's contract is up at the end of '20.There is some natter that Honda will supply only STR and RBR could be forced back to Renault pu's as Honda engine co. receives no rewards whatsoever from F1 like for instance Ferrari and Merc do as they are ''married'' to their engines.
In the worst case scenario Honda could be forced by FI to supply all or not compete though the thing that shines through all the time is Honda's love of F1.
If they win the championship and/or have more wins then the things that matter will have more ticks.

Looks really good !

Taking shape nicely with some work to do at Arie Luyendijkbocht turn and the Hugenholtzbocht banking. It's interesting that the banking is based on solid earth base unlike the Linas-Montlhery banking which is held by concrete and steel beam supports.

there's again speculation that VET will be out after 2020, after being beaten by LEC and the reds not winning either WDC or WCC in 2020.
And to replace VET, they will poach BOT. Why? to destabilize Mercedes, to take a way the perfect "wingman" for LH.

and BOT will likely be slower than LEC, and be the perfect wingman there.

So with Ocon publicly not to partner Lewis, If (big if) LH continues in 2021, will they pickup their other rookie Russell? He might just get lucky.
