Wheel woes
So I have a 2014 BMW X1 E84 sdrive with sport package.
I recently ordered new wheels & tires for it. It came with 18" wheels but wanted to upsize. I asked around & was told 19x9.5 +34mm would fit all the way around. So after ordering them..they don't seem to fit the front. I think part of it is I ordered wide tires 285/35. The tire hits the shock when bolted up. But I'm not certain if I drop a tire size if that will resolve the issue. Might just need to get 19x8.5 wheels & some 255/35 tires. Had anyone else managed to fit 19x9.5 all the way around? If so what tires are you using & are you using spacers? |

9.5 is pretty wide. You will likely have issues in the front at turn lock. Spacers will only make this problem worse.
You might be able to do some cutting in the wheel wells... That's why everybody runs staggered. |

Too wide and too high of an offset. I'm running 18x9" wheels with +22 offset, and that's about as aggressive as the front can take- I tried to fit a 19x9.5 +23 offset and just the wheel hit the strut without a tire. And as sudermatt mentioned, you will have issues on full lock rubbing the wheel wells.

Probably not. You may be able to work the wheel wells with a heat gun to prevent rubbing, but it might still be hard to nail down the correct offset/tire size combination. I ran 19x8.5" +13 with a 255/35 and it rubbed, ended up changing to a 225/40, which fixed the issue. I believe even with a higher offset you'll probably rub at 255/35. Check out the wheel and tire thread, it's a good reference.
