I just bought an X1 from Concord (California) BMW this past Friday evening. It's Alpine white with Mocha Dakota leather, Technology, Premium, Cold Weather, Driver Assistance, and Harman Kardon. Suggested Retail = $45,620. I got it for $42,000 + tax + registration.
Very nice! Hoping to spec mine with the same colors and options as yours, with the exception of adding the 19" wheels. Went to the dealership Friday and they were unwilling to budge at all on the price.

Plan on trying and again and "joking" that $42,500 would definitely earn 5's across the board when it comes time for the satisfaction survey.

That's almost too good to be true. Do you mean UNDER MSRP? Did you promise to name your first born after your salesman's name?

Went back to the dealer on Saturday to take the X1 for a spin again. They had one very close to how I would build it:
  • Mineral Gray Metallic; Oyster Leather; Oak wood trim
  • Premium Package
  • Luxury Package
  • Technology Package
  • 19" Wheels
  • Space-Saver Spare Tire
  • MSRP: $45,595

My ideal car would be the above, except in alpine white and have the mocha interior; add cold weather package. Net change in MSRP would be $0.

Offered $43,500 and it took the salesperson all of two seconds to come back with an acceptance (at which point I thought, "darn I went in too high!").

Ended up not making a deal as they offered too little for my trade in. Thinking it over and hoping to make a deal in the next month or so. Going to think over what options I could leave off the build.

No, invoice. Same guy I've been going to for a while and board sponsor. Steve Thomas BMW. Granted, I'm a repeat customer, etc..

MSRP of $41,145, Sale Price of just over 37. Plus with no sales tax in Oregon, maxed MSD's, the monthly payment is awesome, even with nothing down (acq fee + license fees paid up front) like I did.

Good luck to all!

You can from anywhere. I had the car shipped to me from Cali. Granted, you have to pay for that.

IMHO, the dealer should take that offer. If not, there are plenty of other dealers out there to talk to.

Looks like I am going over to the BMW dealership this evening to place my order.
  • Alpine White Exterior with Mocha Interior with Oak Grain Trim
  • Options: ZPP, ZPL, ZTP, ZCW, ZDA, 28B, 300 (in English thats: Premium Package, Luxury Package, Technology Package, Cold Weather Package, Driver Assistance Package, 19" Y Spoke Wheels)

MSRP: $45,595
Negotiated Price: $43,500 (also have $1,000 credit from UDE not included in this price)

Dealer would not guarantee trade-in value, which is not what I am used to seeing. For this reason I did negotiate the deposit down from $1,000 to $500.

I'm shocked by the early discounts. My dealer has Internet 1k off for all. Must need to be a volume leader.

Friday after posting this I got to thinking about it more and decided I was not comfortable with the idea of not knowing what they would be willing to give me for my trade-in when the car arrives. At that point they would have my deposit money and be able to give me some lowball number and I would be stuck.

Long story short, I ended up getting them to agree to guarantee the trade-in (for up to 2,000 miles) and due to some confusion on their part they are giving me $1,500 more for my trade than what they had last offered. Absolutely thrilled with the deal and can't wait to get the car. I am thinking delivery will be early March given the factory is about to shut down.

I've decided to do Performance Center Delivery. I did the one-day car control clinic couple of years ago. It was a weekend so I was unable to visit the Zentrum or do a factory tour. Planning on doing a tip through Asheville/Smoky Mountains, Nashville, Memphis, Hot Springs (not sure where all I will stop) on my way back to Dallas. I was a bit hesitant about PCD for two reasons (1) I was otherwise hoping the dealer would swap the runflats for non-runflats and (2) it will not be the ideal time of year. Looks like we will have a warm winter though, so hopefully there will not be any snow or ice on the ground.

I considered doing European Delivery but decided to save that for a future BMW and time it so that I will not be there during winter.

Just ordered an X1 M Sport with every option. Happy to talk about the final list price, and the price the dealer gave me.

So why don't you? What's the big secret? All we're interested in knowing is how much over/under invoice you paid. $800? $1000? Etc?

No big secret, I'm just new to this blog so I'm unfamiliar and wasn't sure how this all worked.

With all the options my X1 came out at $50,570. Dealer came down to $47,500.

What is your estimated delivery date? I just placed an order yesterday for a similar model and they said 6-8 weeks?

Sounds like they pretty much told me the same thing as you. They've given me an estimated delivery of end of January.

I ordered on Dec. 1 and was given a confirmed build date of tomorrow (Jan. 4). But based on what others have said on here I'm guessing early February is more realistic.

Also seems like west coast takes longer...

What color is your exterior/interior? I got Mineral Grey with black interior. I wish the M Sport allowed you to get that matte oak trim, but since I couldn't I opted for the fineline wood trim instead. You?

Sounds like a great car and great deal! Did you order or buy off the lot?
