Agree, plot was lacking.

But when you have nothing else to do on a rainy Sunday, watching a movie that is mostly close quarter combat is entertaining. A plot is for movies like The Shawshank Redemption.

Yea it's entertainment, but i wouldn't create a thread saying it blew me away. Just imo of course. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Just watched it... have to say I enjoyed it... I think it did have a good plot and the ending leaves you questioning what really happened.

Yes indeed. The reviews from critics have been positive and I hear a sequel may be in the works....

It is cheesy. It's an older movie. I was just referring to his question about gun choreography and showing an example.

It was all started by director John Woo who called it "Gun-Fu". But it was the catalyst for other films to follow such as the Matrix....etc.

I like him as an actor....but wasn't fond of that film. Maybe because I watched it many years after it was made.

His performance in The Machinist was unreal!

Finally got around to watching this last night, and overall I enjoyed it. I didn't go in expecting an astounding plot, just entertainment and some unexpected twists.

That said, as I was trying to be nice to my neighbors, I couldn't find a good volume where the action sequences weren't insanely loud, yet allow me to hear the soft dialogue, especially with the kid. Maybe I just need to turn my subs down....

Nope. You are not alone in that assessment! I too noticed the audio mix on vocals was a shortcoming.

A movie to kill time when bored. Nothing more. Could have been much better.

Wife & I watched it with our cousin. Plot was alright, but we really enjoyed the cinematography. Our cousin has watched it 2 more times already.

Watched it last night after seeing this thread. Nothing mind blowing up I enjoyed it. I thought the camera angles during the chase scenes were pretty cool. I also liked that it was set in India and Bangladesh. Usually with something like this, it's Europe (Taken) or South America (drug related).

I'm a fan of Equilibrium. I thought that was a good movie personally
