Question for Canadians
As a deprived American, I have been waiting for the new X1 (///M please!). I noticed the dimensions of the x1 are very close to the Dodge Caliber. How would you compare the seating room between the two? is there adequate knee room for a 6'3" driver and an adult passenger behind them?

To be honest no - I'm just below 6 foot, and I drive with the seat nearly all the way back. If there's an adult behind me I have to slide up. But an automatic helps - so it's not too painful.

1 - There is a big hump at the right leg tibia level. I'm 5'8" and I'm not comfortable because I can't fully open my leg. I believe it's mostly because BMW design the AC condensator at this location. See this pic for explanation. 2 - The floor of the X1 is elevated and the seat is seated quite low. I couldn't find a good leg position when in traffic as I like to put my leg on the floor and not the dead pedal..... this is not comfortable... |
