BMW a disgrace to safety, your family is at risk
Read it and decide is BMW a car you are proud to own? I think I might take them to court myself and sue the hell out of them. This will be so easy to prove. Is your life or families life any less important after 7 years or 70,000 miles? These timing chain guides are dangerous and a failure can and eventually will cost someone their life. Diesel or gas, makes no difference the failure is the same.

I thought his posts were a little “out there” so I’m glad I wasn’t imagining things.

Funny thing is it will probably be one of the smart asses on this page who cannot think for themselves whos chain will fail and not be covered. Mine will probably last 250k miles. I’m the one with an unlimited mileage 4 year warranty it is you fools who should be worried.

You will wish it was a belt when your chain breaks and tears apart your engine and your ass wont be able to afford a tow to take it to a shop. Such no mind clowns on this forum. Me too, I can’t think for myself no minds

Vegas,
You joined here like 2 weeks ago, and all you've done is badmouth the BMW brand and the car you bought. And now you're insulting people who don't have the same opinion as you. WTF is your problem? |

His first problem is his use of the English lanquage. My neighbors Toyota Avalon just blew his engine at 70,000 miles because it lost the fluids, shit happens. Put a used engine in for $4,000. Everytime he posts the cost of the engine goes up, $17K, $20K now $23K. Must have gold pistons.

Vegas why are you worried? The N47 is a diesel engine that was never in the X1 versions brought into the USA. So it seems to me that yer talking out yer tail pipe.

Same issue with n20 engine, same chain material. Class action lawsuit already started in the United States.
