That's pretty generic, I would guess maybe one of the rear support brackets that ties the suspension to the unibody in the rear.

Not generic at all.

While it doesn't mention the side, the tension strut is a front suspension arm. The rubber/hydraulic mount is the hydrobearing on the inboard side of the arm.

They commonly fail, in addition to shitting up the steering feel. Many of us replace with poly.

Edit, damn photobucket

The bushing in this one...

I just had my rear tension strut replaced due to damage.
33326777637
Tension Strut according to BMW which attaches to a rubber mount...
So yea, generic.

What?

33326777637 is a diff/V brace (also called a tension rod/strut according to some sites)...which DOES NOT mount with rubber, let alone a hydraulic bushing. Not sure where you got that. It's most certainly hard-mounted.

There are no hydraulic bushings on the rear suspension arms of the car either.

Maybe it was generic to you, but anyone who knows these cars, or even late-model BMWs in general, would immediately know what was replaced.

What???

That part number is to a front rubber subframe bushing. Pressed into the subframe for bolting it to the car.

The V-brace you posted gets HARD BOLTED, both inner and outer. There are no bushings.

The other "tip" would be that it says "tension/compression" strut. That 100000% indicates a front suspension arm (RWD uses a compression strut, AWD a tension strut).

The inner side of a front tension strut uses a rubber/hydraulic mount prone to failure. There is no other spot on the car that description would be referring to, period.

Sure, it's frustrating...and spreads bad info.

You'll be happy to know I received points (for "jackass", really?).
