Fumoto Drain Valve

Has anyone on here replaced their oil drain plug with a Fumoto Drain Valve? Here is their site if you haven't heard of them before: http://www.fumotousa.com/

I have these on my two other vehicles, but the drain plug on the X1 sits pretty low. I think the Fumoto Drain Valve would protrude past the plastic cover.

Let me know if anyone has tried this yet!

Thanks

I used fumoto valve in my Subaru 2.5RS coupe many winters ago. It was convenient as that negated me from having to raise the car. Just a flick of the lever and the oil drains.... slowly. This worked because IIRC, the drain hole for the Impreza is located closer to the front. The best thing about it, you don't get oil gushing onto your hands and no tools required.

Not sure if it will portrude out. Checked with the e90 forum as our cars share the same platform. And it's a larger sample size.

Good call, I will ask the question on their forum.

I have these drain valves installed on my Toyota Land Cruiser and Ford F-150. They are great for changing the oil quickly and cleanly, especially on my Land Cruiser with skid plates!

Have a good one.
