just did - 48K for a 35i with m-sport, 19s and the 'ultimate' pkg.... what a joke, i think i'd get the x3 for 53K with similar options considering you get the 8at and more room/utility

Yeah some odd things like you can get trapped with a Technology package that doesn't go away you don't have to have the tech package to get Harmon/Kardon do you?

I believe the H/K is a stand alone option. What is a joke is that x line package gets you wheels and a running board like trim for 1900! Also a joke that you must order a costly package or two to get options that were a la carte in years past: Read xenons. BMW, if you are reading - That blows!

Anyone who requires xenons (IMHO, not a true BMW without them) and wants a 28i, is forced to take the premium pkg. OTOH, for an additional $1750, you can have a 35i that's similarly equipped, except for a few less creature comforts. Let's see: 240hp vs 300hp, 4 cyl vs 6 cyl, auto start-stop function vs none....No brainer in my book. Probably will be the best $1750 that I will spend.

Happy that coral red is offered. No 8 speed auto for the 35i is retarded though. N20 with 8 speed auto will be damn near as fast I bet.

at $45,520 for a fully loaded Msport sDrive model it's a pretty good value compared to what the equivalent F31 wagon will cost. that's the surprising part.

Am I correct in this assumption? X1 sport package DOES NOT INCLUDE SPORT SUSPENSION. So you're paying $1900 for seats and wheels, and some accents here and there. Unreal.
Makes the M-sport package all that much more of a bargain. For $1,100 more, you get msport bumpers (that are body color matching, unlike the other lines), better looking 18" wheels than regular sport package, anthracite headliner, m dead pedal, m sport perforated leather steering wheel, and sport suspension. The m sport exterior and interior details alone are worth the $1,100. Adding in sport suspension is icing on the cake. |

what a waste of money for a wannabe suv that costs as much as an x3/5. I cant believe you have to get the premium pack to just get xenons now.. why no $900 stand alone option? same goes for harmon kardon, have to get technology pack. They need to take note of other brands that offer sunroof and heated seats in SUVs as STANDARD. and really? $900 for bluetooth? the technology is not that expensive anymore...

What sucks about the x1 is that you can't get a heated steering wheel on a M-Sport. Everything else is awesome.
This is an important feature for me :X which is a deal breaker

a few suprising things to me:
-19" wheels look like -No rear window shade option? -no heated M steering wheel (my X3 M Sport has it) -6 speed auto on 35i? why not the same 8 speed the X3 has? But if you build a 35i and 28i with the same options the price difference is actually only $3,650. Its hard not to get the 35i for only $3,650 more! especially since a loaded 35i will probably have more than a $3,650 resale advantage over a 28i down the road. I am actually thinking of trading in my C63 for one of these! Sick of the maintenance on it (no free lunch like with BMW) and shitty MPG (12.5 MPG in summer traffic right now). I think I will get an X1 (might have the wife drive it while I drive the X3) and in a few years trade one of them in for a new M3 |
