noob introduction
Well the time has finally come where I can start posting here. I've been lurking around since summer 2014 and almost special ordered a 2015 X1 35i but life happened.
After 2 years of waiting I found a used one that is 9/10 of what I want. Close enough right? 2014 Mineral White X1 35i m Sport w/paddles Black Nevada leather 18" (wanted the 19" but it's fine for now) Ultimate package Heated Seats H/K I can't wait to pick it up this weekend! I look forward to digging into the info here. I'm not new to the brand, we have a 2007 e83 and an 2003 R53. The R53 will probably end up as a track toy (fingers crossed). A few quick pics from the purchase. It's too dirty now to take any pictures of it.
I flew from Va to Long Island NY to make the purchase and pick up on Saturday. Drove it it back to VA on Sunday. The X1 was in near perfect condition till I drove it into a parking garage and promptly curbed a rear wheel. DOH! Not 1 week old and I've already done something to it. Could be worse though, I guess? |

Nice Car! Same color as mine, but you have the M-pkg. You can always get 19s when you ditch the runflats. Those CPO's are the only way to buy a BMW, IMO.

Thanks!
I like the look of the 19's because it closes up the wheel well gap and makes it look more like the wagon it should have been. The 18's are probably more functional as a year round DD. |

Uggg...jealous. Settled (although I like it) on LeMans blue after not being able to find a white one.
Seriously, start with a JB4 and then Bilsteins, H&Rs and a rear sway. You won't regret it. Great daily driving suspension.

Pretty darn easy. Maybe 20 minutes? Stinks you have to pull the cowl up...but for that it would be a 5 minute job.

Call it 30 the first go round, and anywhere from 10-15 after that. Just a few hand tools.
