Or not stopping at stop signs or taking red lights or driving on the opposite side of the road... maybe I should keep a copy of my tax receipt in the car for the next time I get stopped for speeding.

The problem with these left lane laws is that they are never enforced.

I see so little enforcement compared to the past that it continues to amaze me. I started driving in the mid-60s and until around the early to mid-80s enforcement was very evident in towns, cities, counties, and on the interstates. I think most jurisdictions can't afford to go back to that model today.

New addition. Merc drivers, today I saw a merc fail to yield to a fire truck trying to merge with sirens and lights flashing. I hope it was his house on fire.

I track my car as many days as I can afford each year. There is no point to drive like a bimmer in the city. In the city I live, cars overspeeding by 40 km will get impounded with a big bill to pay. Don't ask me why I know

The ones with the giant land yachts on 24" wheels are the worst. I literally saw one of these giant boats flying down 95 in Miami and actually lane splitting with that fucking thing!

Yes always have been no matter what car I've owned. Will ride the ass of slow drivers, quick acceleration, quick turning, seldom use turn signals unless in heavy traffic. With all that being said, I don't go more than 5-10 over the limit on main roads and never above 80 on the highway.

Sorry not sorry. Get outta my way

Boston's not that big a deal. When I first started driving there in the late-90s, I found it no different than the Bay Area.

It's like everywhere else: you get with the program, and you move on.

Actually, there seems to be an opposite type that get triggered when they see someone driving a Bimmer for whatever stupid jelly reason and they drive to aggravate the BMW driver, speed like an idiot and slotting in where there's no space and thinking it's some race w major prize money. Since we're talking about stereotypes, I have yet to see (what one would expect) when witnessing a car doing crazy stuff some teenaged or 20-something male punk: over here, it's always some woman, max in their 30s. They are crazy aggro here for whatever reason.

i always let people in or merge. if there is traffic, i stop/slow down and let folks in and out of driveways or parking lots. i use my blinkers 99% of the time. if someone is speeding i move out of the way. you never know where they need to be.

that being said i appreciate the same in return and get annoyed when folks don't think of others. do i rage from it. no. not worth the stress but it is annoying.

i do tend to drive a bit faster on the highway and slower thru neighborhoods. i have young kids so i'm always speed conscious in neighborhoods.

If you are on a 2-lane road, and for some god-forsaken reason need to make a left in the middle of nowhere, do it from the CENTER of the lane, not the right shoulder

Blinkers except maybe in my driveway. Flow of traffic +5. You get about 1/2 sec to move over from the left lane on the freeway before I go around and wave at you as I pass.

You children don't remember gas lines? Now there was some really aggressive driving.

"Fights broke out, and some station owners began carrying guns for self-protection."

“It’s turning us into animals,” Wanken said. “It’s back to the cavemen.”

Even the Smithsonian chronicled it.
