Replaced Tires
To those who replaced their run flats with proformace tires. What did you put on and how improved is the car? I've got 27K on the P7's and they are almost bald.

You're lucky to be able to leave them on all year round in Jax. |

Slightly OT but we have the Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season - the literature says 70K miles. But seems like here and other places folks are getting less than half of that. What am I missing?

Definitely non R/F tires. Had Potenza RE760 on an E90, nice tires. The Michelins are probably the best but a bit pricey as I drive 30K+ a year. what's been your experience with them, wear wise.

You won't get 30k out of PSS's. I got about 24k out of PS2's and about 30k out of PSS's on my M Coupe, but that was a much lighter car. I'd guess 25k or so out of most of top notch summer tires would be about best case for an X1.
However, if you're going non staggered, take advantage of the PSS warranty claim of 30k miles. It's only 15k if you're staggered. |

Obviously how aggressive you drive will have a lot to do with how long any tires last. As long as I get 25k out of any performance tires I'm OK with that. The Michelin Pilot Sports wore a little better than the Potenzas in my experience and also gave great performance (I was living in Jax at the time as well). If you only got 27K out of a set of Cinturatos, you will probably not get 25K with the Michelins though.
