X1 seats across BMW car series
Hello everyone
I've been wondering if BMW has some sort of cross-compatibility for their seats? It looks like the seats for e84 X1 is about the same as the ones for the 3-series e90, e91. Is this confirmed somewhere? Does anyone know of some sort of list where the different series of cars have interior/exterior parts in common? Seats, sidemirrors, rat etc. |

My ass tells me the X1 seats are markedly smaller than e90 seats. Even if the tracks fit (which they will not) the seat width will not physically fit without cramming then on top of that the wiring harness connectors would be different so you would be staring at the seat belt and/or air bag warning full time. Is all this solvable? maybe but not easily or all those complaining about E84 seats would have done so before now.

I feel like i've seen a post at some point of somebody putting e90 seats in an X1??? Not sure how much searching you've done on it yet. I seem to having better luck searching on google and adding e90post at the end than I do searching here on the forum. It may be worth searching more if you haven't. A TON on e84 is directly compatable with e90. I think e84 is actually closest to the e91 touring, but with greater ground clearance. I wouldn't be surprised if the seats were interchangable.
Not sure what you dislike about your X1 seats, maybe look into e84 m sport seats? I have an e84 msport and I love my seats. Much better than the seats in our G01 X3. |
