Mine went into production on the 12 and finished around July 22nd, and have been sitting in port since. I checked the status this morning by calling the 800 number, but it was still in port. I was hoping that it gets shipped out with the rest of you. I will have to call and check tomorrow morning.
Edit: No such luck! Mine is still in port. Been there for 2 weeks now. Last edited by investor27; 08-04-2012 at 02:19 AM.. |

That's good news, its a great car but at the media launch the media was told that the car would be available in August- basically as soon as they got off the boat; maybe there was some confusion on the dealer end?

I think what BMWis finding is the market for upscale cars is broader than they ever thought. Here we see a smaller SUV than the X3. On the other end of the scale are unusual vehicles like the X6, 5 GT, and 4 door coupe 6 series. The permutations keep coming. Buyers of upscale cars want individuality, so we see more movement towards encouraging buyers to custom order their cars.

I don't get it. Hasn't X1 been around for over a year in North America? I"ve been seeing them everywhere here in Canada for ages. Or is it the X1 35i that is just now being released?

X1 is just now being launched in the US, they held off due to limited production availability and the mid cycle update.
