I'm new to this
Sorry for the shout - forgot how capps are interpreted in this medium.
The other response sent me to a German site - no help to this English only guy! I see you own an x1. Does any of your literature / data include the front and rear knee room? david |

The brochure of the X1 doesnīt show the knee room. Maybe BMW is embarrased
Itīs enough for me, and I am 189 cm tall. But there is not much left behind my seat... |

I had a chance to sit in the X1 at the Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS) in Toronto recently and I can tell you that the X1 has lots of headroom and legroom even for a guy my size. The legroom behind the front seat (setup for me) would still allow a child or smaller adult to sit comfortably in the rear seat.

It is the same chassies and seats as 3 series with a higher roof, so legroom should be similar, or even a bit better than 3 series if they raise the seats.

Yep, I would say it's better for the reason you mention. Also there is better use of interior space. I am 6 foot exactly and an adult can sit behind me quite comfortably.
