Nice! I have the same Thule roof bars and basket. Can't wait to head into the Rockies and camp with it.

Quick question: I assume you ski or board? If so, do you use a the rack for your boards/skis? I was going to get a rack (still unsure of which model, but most likely a Thule) but I can fit three people and all our gear with no issue inside the X1, so I kind of held off on the purchase. Which rack did you get and is it worth it in your estimation? I kind of shy away from the idea of my board fluttering in the wind and stuff when I can fit in in a bag inside the car. But I would like to maybe have that option. Just would like an informed opinion, as you're a Coloradian. Thanks!

Thanks LevinBR, our set up is used so much to get things home. Timber, furniture, spare rim, luggage, it handles it all.

Thanks SoX1derful. To answer your question, I have had a paddle and long(skate) board on the rack, no issues with handling them at all.

The basket I bought is here:
https://www.thule.com.au/products/ca...canyon-859002/

I also opted for Thule Wing bars edges as the OEM BMW seemed a little high off the roof to me? Plus, I have always run Thule products over the years and they have never let me down. Link:

https://www.thule.com.au/products/ro...f-rails-black/

Hope that helps . By the way, I'm from Australia

Not sure if you knew but you can swap out the fairing for something a little more interesting if the mood ever takes you:

Thanks Utututu. Your car is nice, this bar would suit it well.

I have replaced my cabin filters and cowl with the below:

Thanks mate, appreciate you dropping by. I must admit your thread gave me some inspiration and ideas with your X1. Do you still have it? Any updates or recent trips?
