Replaced Valvetronic Motor - Engine Malfunction

1st post. Looking for advice.
Recently acquired X1/E84/N20 65,000 miles. Common/annoying clicking from valvetronic motor when unlocking car or opening door. Replaced motor. I have done similar work on other cars/BMW's. Took my time, job went smoothly. When finished, car started up and ran smooth initially but I got Engine malfunction/reduced power/DSC errors. Max RPM 1100. Then engine started to run rough.
Suspected low battery since car had been on sales lot for 2 months. Read 12.3 volts. (Note: I had disconnected negative terminal during repair.) Trickle charged battery overnight to 13.7 volts. Car started very rough then died. Same reduced power/DSC errors.

Codes from Foxwell/Schwaben scanner:
POO7 Charge air cooler temp sense circuit high bank 1
P169F Refer to manual
P110D Refer to manual
P0123 Throttle/pedal position sensor switch A circuit high
P0222 Throttle /pedal position sensor switch circuit low
P0238 Turbocharger boost sensor A circuit high
P0036 HO2S Heater control circuit bank 1 sensor 2
P102A refer to manual

Needless to say I am confused. Don't think any of this is related to the valvetronic motor.

Under Engine- DME Digital Motor Electronics
"Unknown control variant! followed by 8 lines of 2 digit code. I will try to post a picture.

Thanks in advance.

I had mine replaced under warranty but I believe there is a calibration and relearn procedure after replacement. You don’t mention that you did that.

Going to bet you used aftermarket parts. That motor HAS to be OEM or the car will do exactly as you said. Mine did the same thing and I learned the lesson lol. Put the old one back in and it will work fine again I bet.

How many are there really out there? OEM made probably by VDO, or VDO. Any others?

If the old one goes back in it probably won't work fine since it was bad to begin with.

Before you replaced it did you go through ISTA and the procedures to rule out the sensor and eccentric shaft? Did the new motor at least get rid of the noise? If you DIY'd it as mentioned did you do the relearn procedure? Replace anything else at the same time?

Thanks for the replies/suggestions.
1. I no longer have the clicking noise.
2. Yes, aftermarket parts from FCP Euro. I hate to think it's a bad motor but I guess possible.
3. I read up quite a bit on the relearn procedure as my scanner won't perform that function. As I understand, the system homes itself when you unlock the car by driving the shaft to max position. So, I set the shaft to the max stop at reassembly. I found many references/videos where others had done the same on this engine. When I replaced the valve cover gasket on my e90 I used this same procedure (as outlined in the Bently manual.)
4. Only other new parts were seals.

Prior to doing the work I had the car at a reputable independent shop. They fixed a small turbo problem at a very reasonable cost. They confirmed my suspicions on the valvetronic motor and quoted just under $5k for the job. They wanted to replace the eccentric shaft, valve cover ...a lot of expensive parts that I did not think needed replacing. Thar's why I had a go at it myself.

Follow up: Ended taking the car to a shop. They found a connector was not fully seated on an ECU...not sure which one as I have not picked up car. Only charging me 1/2 labor! They did verify that on this car it is not necessary to re-learn/calibrate valvetronic motor.
