Softer Ride
Hi,
I am seeking a softer ride for my X1. I would say my X1 is one of the earliest model, the E84 sDrive 2.0d 2009-2012 model. I had switched the RFT for a normal tire when the RFTs had succumbed to wear & tear. The ride is much softer indeed after the change of tires, but I'm pretty sure it could be softer still. So, do I start with the coil springs? The springs available is the Eibach lowering kit. Or this is a straight forward shock absorber job? In Jakarta, Indonesia pot holes are aplenty and speed humps aren't made to standard so the rebound stage is pretty harsh. Thank you H |

if your pothole are plenty. then you can achieve even softer ride with a higher profile tire. if you got 18 inch wheel switch to 17 and even higher profile tire then the oem.
this way you dont have to mess with the suspension. |

I would also go 17's before changing the spring rate and shock rebound.
