Front Strut Bar for E84

Has anyone used a front strut bar for E84? If you do, do you recognize a difference in handling especially cornering? What is the best one made? Where can you get it?

Thanks in advance for comments!!

I saw that one too. That brand is quite big with the Honda guys here in Australia. I was considering trying one, just haven’t got around to ordering it.

It is simple and cheap, surely it would make a difference?

The M sport comes with a strut brace. Exact same as my e90. Maybe you can grab a used one.

All trim options (sport line, x line, base, and M sport) come with the same strut tower brace;

What about sway bars? Is there anything out there to upgrade?

Ok good to know. Maybe the original poster wants to upgrade. I wrongly assumed he didn't have any strut brace.

I believe a popular rear sway bar upgrade is the stock bar from the e93(?) M3 convertible (the convertible has the thickest of any of the M3s).

I have the e90 M3 front strut tower bar setup, seems to work just fine.
Looks good... didn’t honestly feel any difference in handling or stiffness.

Another vote for a bigger rear sway bar, E93 M3 or aftermarket. Nice difference in handling.

Very cool- I want upgraded sways but I will probably go to wider wheels/ tires in the rear first. I know what a huge difference sways can make because I've done it to other cars.

Is there a part number that anyone has, want to make sure I have the correct one. Is there more than one available? Any links or write-ups? I did some searching but didn't find anything substantive. I should probably start a new thread.

Thanks!

Post 154 for the M3 Vert rear bar part number.

https://e84.xbimmers.com/forums/show...swaybar&page=7

Posts just above it have the standard M3 rear bar number which will work too (just not quite as stiff).

But again, the rear of the car is all E90. So any write-ups or parts for a RSB that fits an E90 (328/335/M3) will work.

I'll say this, if you ONLY do the vert or regular M3 bar, you can sag the sub-frame low enough without disconnecting the brake lines and wrestle the bar in there. A PITA, but it can be done without completely dropping it. I'm not sure if you go aftermarket M3 bar that you'll be able to squeeze it in without disconnecting the lines.
