2 More Devens Autocross Events! 9/12 and 9/27
Registration Page is HERE!
Steve and I were asked to run the last two NESHOC events of the year. They are on Sept 12th and Sept 27th. They only allow about 60 people in to their events, so it's a good bet that it'll either be extra runs or a quick and fun day! There are about 15 open slots for each day right now. As you all know, for the BMW Chapter events, we usually get 100 cars through with 8 runs. We may also use more of the runways to make a longer course. Anyway, for those of you wanting to do more AX events, or cannot sign up for Boston BMW Chapter events, because you are not a BMW CCA member.. here's your big chance! Love to see some more 1ers there. FYI, on a separate note, reg opens on FRIDAY for the 10/4 BMW CCA Event 7!! |

Agree, unless you get a hotel room. We start early too. I have a 1:45 drive to get there, and I think I'm insane (as I'm sure others do too).

lol, New England SHO club (as in the Ford car).
I was registered for them, but had to cancel due to overtime at work.

I just registered for the Sept 12th one. Should be interesting to see a lot of non-BMW cars...
Maybe I should bring the Crown Vic to this one?

Good news is that John MacDonald is coming along and doing the course. He's one of the best there is. You know his devious ways from the Boston BMW CCA events.
Rachel, I saw you were registered and canceled. You should say your hand is killing you and bugger off from work. It's just the correct thing to do. |

I would love to hear any details on the Sept 12th event...
It would be awesome to get more runs or to have a longer course, I don't think I have ever ventured down past the taxiway that the autoX normally goes down. I guess with a long course your workers would be reeaallllyyyyyy spread out, especially with only 60-ish people. Oh well, should be fun regardless! Any other 1-ers signed up? I see ML on there, but that's all I recognize.

Working conage patrol will be a bit longer a jog than at the BMW events. I spoke with our course designer this afternoon, and he has some devious ideas, but it should be a bit longer than most are used to.
Mike signed up? Awesome! One thing about NESHOC events is that they do not allow hopping in other cars, like the BMW events do. I think that is a fault, but it is their rules. The other thing is that instructors cannot compete.. so I'll just be doing some fun runs. I'm even debating putting on the R Comps. That's is a good bit of work to swap them out and back for a few runs that don't even count. |

It is a shame they don't allow ride-alongs, but I guess if there are only 30 cars per run group it could cause more slow-downs that a BMW event with 50. I guess it is obvious that instructors can ride in the cars?... which I suppose means they get more rides.
ML's name was on the list, so unless there is another one around, it should be him... but they don't list the car in the attending list. Regardless, it should be fun.

I think I have to pass on the 27th because I may be out of town. But it would have been sweet to have an autoX for 4 straight weekends! That's the stuff dreams are made of, except for fact that I would be waking up so early I might not have time to dream.

my car has offically died on me. getting it towed to bmw tomorrow. pretty sure the hpfp died. on the way out to springfield it seemed as if it was running on 4 cylinders. the next day on the way home the check engine light came on and it was just all bad.
