Intermittent turnsignal problem....?
Driving today, suddenly I noticed rapid flashing of the turn signal when signaling a left turn; this normally indicates a burned out turn signal bulb. By looking at the vehicle ahead, I could see that the left front signal wasn't flashing. When I stopped, a 'bulb' problem was shown on the screen. I opened and closed the hood to see how much trouble the bulb would be to change.
When I got back in 15 minutes later, everything was back to normal, and the left front flashed just fine. Does this sound like anything familar? Two other details: -hit a deer several months ago, and some of the lights were replaced -as posted elsewhere here, drove thru' a real frog-strangler of a rainstorm yesterday, tho' the turnsignal was working yesterday and today when I started driving. We're back to normal, but I'd like to know what happened. Moon |

Sounds like a grounding issue. Check the ground to the chassis on all your wiring harnesses on that corner where you smoked that deer.

You're gonna have to trace them out. Should be the green wire, or green with yellow. My guess is that they ground somewhere near the rad cradle or the fender mounts. If I was near my car I could help you out.
If those colours don't exist, it will return on a black/grey wire to the relay. You could run over to your dealer and see if they can help you out with a wiring schematic of the lighting system. Or check to see if AutoZone has a DIY book for E84/E9x

Twix, my car is relatively new and I'll discuss it with my dealer. Thanks for the response; I've added it to my short list of 'stuff to discuss the next time I take it in'.
