Sirius XM with working combox

Hey Guys,

I have Sirius XM “All Access” but my combox is 2G and inactive. ($1200 quote to replace the combox)

My question for those that have a working combox, I currently get channels up to channel 219. I’m wondering if you also get the “online only” channels in addition because your combox is functional.

Thanks!

Steve

Negative, Online is web based only. I was told that basically anything with a sat receiver that has an ESN can not get the online channels. Went through the same thing with my wife's lincoln.

I'm trying to make a case for the combox but I just can't justify the price. My car is still under factory warranty. Seems like BMW could be a little more gentle with the price, but whatever.

Thanks!

If I am not very mistaken, a vehicle still under factory warranty should be eligible for a free replacement of the combox. I missed it by 2 months which didn’t make me very happy. Couldn’t justify the cost for the options.

At least here in Seattle, the answer was no. There was a replacement deal at one time before I owned it, but that offer has expired. Since it was a lease return, previous owner probably didn’t care. Warranty is up in December, maybe I should go dealer surfing and see if the answer is any different, lol. Quote was as follows:

Parts: $635.00
Labor: $440.00
Tax: $108.57
Total: $1183.57

Thanks!
