BMW Online no longer working

In Canada we still get 10 years worth of data subscription. That said, as of a few weeks ago, my BMW Online service haven't been able to connect. Slow as it was, sometimes it is handy to simply look a place up and navigate to it.
Just wondering if anyone has this problem or know a way to fix this? I believe it is on on the latest firmware version.

thanks.

Did you check if you have a recall pending? That should be related to the combox recall.

There's no recall for the combox. The only outstanding recall right now is the airbag. Dealership still awaiting parts....

There is a recall for combox for 2015 and earlier X1s. I have a 2013 and had mine replaced. My Connected Drive features are all working now.

This is a bmwus site but maybe you can check here if it cover Canada. If it doesn't work, check the canada website for the same offer.

Combox upgrade for 2015X1

Hello all, new to this site (and BMW), looking for help. I just purchased a nice 2015 X1 with nav and found out shortly afterward that the com is inoperable due to the move to 4g. I'm willing to purchase the new 4g box and have it installed but I'm not getting any solid response as to whether I will benefit. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I also recently purchased a 2015 X1- still under warranty. The Dealer in Seattle quoted me two weeks ago for the Combox replacement:

Parts: $635.00
Labor: $440.00
Tax: $108.57
Total $1183.57

For that price I could buy an iPad and glue it to the dash! The features would be nice, but not $1200 nice. I already do get Traffic info in the Nav, must be through a different mechanism or frequency.

Thanks!

Steve

I just had mine done. Paid for by the dealer I bought car from because they did not clarify that the box was deactivated after the recall. Was about $600 for the box and install/set up. In Sioux Falls SD.
