I agree. My X1 look very ok to me. The original design is very pure. The LCI is just more plastic... juts hope they fixed the interior lack of quality of some plastic... i will never understand why the plastic on the top of the main dashboard is made of hard plastic????
The new side mirrors... to small for a SAV/SUV Dont like the new steering well, why that all chrome??? Looks like an asian car brand... |

well I agree that it looks great now but I wanted the M sport version but they didnt have it at the time I got my car and to retrofit it costs a ridiculous sum....but now that I have seen the facelift version...I think it looks even better....just my opinion.

Anyone knows if the LCI got LED Ring lights? or is it just again that Yellowish Hallogen bulb?
I can't tell with the pictures online... Anyone can confirm? |

I went to the NY Auto Show. I think they had the lights turned on and they were LED lights, although I could be wrong. I took pictures, so I'll check when I go home.

"2013 X1 comes with newly designed headlight and a chrome-coated accent strip, which cuts across the top of the twin circular headlights. Additionally, an LED accent light is completed with LED light rings for the daytime driving lights." The external dimensions are exactly the same as the old headlamps and have the exact mounting positions. So the new headlamp will fit perfectly. However a much cheaper alternative would be to replace the halogen H8 yellows with LUX Angel LED white lights. (About USD 250). I have done exactly that, and its almost close to the F platform OEM LED's in terms of lumens. I also retrofitted my bumpers with the M-Sport, so I assume fitting the new bumpers would not be a problem. The M Sport cost me Euro 2000 for the entire kit, including the fog lamps. |

Yes, you would need the additional wiring harness and code the FRM module. (If its a different FRM unit then you would need that as well.)
