Dinan Exhaust

For those who are interested in an axle-back exhaust option, the Dinan exhaust for the 135i fits our X1 35i without any modification. I know others have done this mod but just confirming for others. Installed mine yesterday and the fit and finish is perfect. With the secondary cat and resonator delete it sounds pretty darn good now with absolutely zero drone. I'll try to get a video on here soon.

this is good news, I was about to do a bypass exhaust thing for track days. I'd rather just be loud the whole time can you post the one that is confirmed to fit, since there are a few versions.

Dinan Exhaust

Here's the one I bought. Mind you I bought it used on bimmerpost so I paid far less but I'm sure there will be some discounts coming up for the holidays.

Unsure, I wonder if exhaust diameter is the same.

Not many exhaust options I’m finding. I ended up with a VRSF high flow downpipe.

This is interesting, I've been wondering if 135 axle backs would bolt up to our cars... So if a Dinan 135 axle back bolts up no problem, than any 135i axle back should also bolt up, right? It would be nice to have some higher flowing options available off-the-shelf.

I ended up at this route as well with MHD stage 1 and electronic “golf tee” mod. Sound is just about right. Considering a resonator delete as well.

From what I have read and understand I believe it will fit if the exhaust is cut behind the axels, now if bolts up to the midpipe it will not fit without bending or “denting” the exhaust at certain points.

After heavy research and taking a chance I found a dinan exhaust for the 135i that attaches after the axle (VERY important). I found my dinan 135i exhaust from someone parting out his built 135i on Facebook marketplace for a very good price.

I had my exhaust guy slip on my exhaust, he finished in under an hour. He said the fit was perfect for the exhaust hangers but he had to adjust them mildly as the tips are huge compared to stock. But I’ve had no rubbing and no rattling. It really sounds great.

My setup is VRSF catted downpipe with MHD stage 1, and dinan back box. Stock midpipe

The BEST burble tune, in my opinion, for this set up is, medium with 0.8 duration and it only triggers at 2600 rpm when coming off of hard throttle. During normal driving in Drive mode, it sounds very tame, near OEM. Also I get NO burbles in normal drive mode.
