Coolant?

I'm about to order a new thermostat (P0597 code) and coolant. As I don't have a BMW stealership near me for the coolant can I use Valvoline Zerex G48® coolant instead? 2014 BMW E84 X1 xDrive28i 81K kms.

Zerex for german cars is fine. I contemplated that but turns out BMW's concentrate was cheaper once you factored in the mix ratio.

This X1 also has a component-specific extended warranty for the engine coolant thermostat for ten years or 192,000 km, whichever should come first, which is still in effect and will expire by November 30, 2023
