Thanks. Does garage count as home decor?

Well, as an unabashed MCM fan, I love the furniture. Well done!

I just wish I could find a legit MCM house, there aren't too many where I am. This is a shot of the master bedroom just after we finished the addition.

And the headboard and nightstands, I dont have one of them all set up for some reason.

We got some crap for this, but we cut up a MCM dresser for our master bathroom vanity. It could have been worse, at least we didnt cut up a Brasilia.

I just saw a pic of someone who did the same thing with a G Plan dresser in their bathroom. Personally, I think it would look a little more modern with a quartz countertop and the sinks being under-mount, but I get that it all costs money. Believe me, we've already sunk about $30K into the house we just bought less than a month ago, so I get it.

To make things worse, we haven't even done any of the "fun" stuff on the interior, yet, like fireplace re-facing, flooring and the new kitchen.

My current top spot for MCM dressers/buffets/etc is the stuff that Albert Parvin did for American of Martinsville:

https://www.google.com/search?biw=16...30.a0ba26PVmSg

We have kind of a diamond theme going with our house due to a little wooden decoration on the front, so I need one of these pieces in my life.

Great stuff, we just sold a killer American of Martinsville winged dresser. You should check out our re-sale insta Pictnewnan.

Will do!

You should join the mid century modern group on FB, if you're not already there. That's where I saw the link to the G Plan turned into a vanity.

You'd get a kick out of some of the MCM elitists on there, I think. I certainly do.

Cool! Got my garage project coming up next month! Big plans! Already got the big tool box. Garage cabinets on order and will start painting the ceilings and walls shortly. Currently researching on the RaceDeck tiles.

For now the Wifey and I was able to get the curtain and curtain rods up and installed

Your curtains are nice. I like curtains and have had some nice ones over the years in our previous house.
This time around, we went with 4.5in custom made wooden shutters throughout the entire house. Definitely a not so small investment. But they came out fantastic!

Yeah, plantation shutters definitely are not inexpensive.

No doubt. Here's the amount of coverage we went with: 23 Windows. Most of which are oversized: 7ft tall. I remember when they were bringing them in, it looked like several full sized Doors!
I also opred to have them installed on hinges so they open up like doors. Pics coming...

Nice! I remember back when I lived in Cali my buddy called me up out of the blue and said bring your tools over now! I get there and his next door neighbor who he's good friends with sold his house and told him that before the new owners move in that he can have his plantation shutters. We took every one of them out and installed them in his. I shit you not, those shutters were at least $20k easily

Plantation shutters cost that much? Yikes....

Why is it that modern homes cost so much? Why can't we have track homes that are modern? Is it that our neighbors are too close to have that much glass? haha
