Indy Garage damaged/broke my engine cover.

What can I do about this? They Broke a connection point for a vaccum hose on the cover.

A new cover was needed and it costed me 175$CAN....

They broke it while investigating my seized engine.

They also misdiagnosed a seized engine as a dead battery, then a dead starter, then a fuse box connection.... They are shit.

How can I prove they broke it? If I go To the small claims division I Will have To prove that they did the damage 100%...

Thanks

BMW dealership stripped my screw threads on the cowl that hold the cabin air filter down. If they are argumentative then I say just eat the cost and leave a bad review.

Garage List
They broke it, they (pay to) fix it. That's my motto.

No where did I say you took it to BMW. I am simply saying I can relate and although you took it to a indy things like this will also happen at the dealer. Court doesn't make sense. If they will pay for the damage then great. If not, bad review and eat the cost.

Maybe a brick through there window? Kidding, that sucks. They should fix it if they had any class. Bad Yelp review at minimum.

in the US shop must carry insurance. you can file a claims with their insurance. you must prove that they did it.

in California Shop are regulated by Bureau of Automotive Repair and consumers can file complaint... anything like that in Canada?

Yeah good luck. I know it's them because they are the only ones who took the cover off... But good luck proving that...

Proving it will be difficult if not impossible. I would push them a little to replace it, it they refuse to then give me a bad review online and drop it. It will be more time than it is worth to try to take them to court. Since they cannot seem to properly diagnose a seized engine, it is not like you will be returning to them anyways.
