But yet, so frustrated at the same time.

Did the power fix work for you, Apex?

I've got a JB4, but have yet to install it. Thinking of selling it and just going Dinan at this point. I know it's overpriced, but seems to be a bit more elegant than any piggy backs and I'm not looking for crazy power, upgraded turbos, etc.

I too have a JB4 that's sitting on my bench awaiting installation. But checking out Dinan; they have drastically lowered the stg.2 tuning price to under $800. This includes remapping the transmission for quicker shifts, too. Anybody with the Dinan stg. 2 lurking here?

I see the claim of "no hesitation between shifts", but I don't see anywhere that it actually updates the transmission software like the Alpina flash, for example.

The price should drop owing to most of the E84 vehicles falling out of warranty coverage. Lost warranty on my 2015 last month and suspect most of the remaining 2015's will by the end of the year.

I personally am totally impressed by the xHP trans flash. I think no matter what your tune, you should get the xHP if you have a 35i. It is way better than Alpina.

Power for JB4 should come from the thick red wire in back left corner of the white dme box. This will prevent battery drain issues when using the 50amp fuse location on our cars.

Yes to XHP trans flash, it is a must... fast shifts and the rev match downshifts are great! The app is well worth the money spent.

Nope, hence the frustration. I've pulled from Burger's recommended point as well as mwtrogus's...no dice. Still a small draw.

But don't let my odd experience dissuade you. I've had a great experience with JB4s on two of my other cars, and the X1 for years. Just recently this issue has cropped up. Can't imagine why.
