Headlamp Switch
How do you remove the headlamp switch it is not as easy as the other BMW's are. You cannot just pop the panels around it. Can someone help me I need to remove the switch and replace the knob. I already broke the vent..... Need help please

Take a look at below link on pictures to show side panel removal to access headlamp switch. This is straight-forward process but need to care not to break the clips holding the panel. Good luck! https://e84.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=933675 |

Hmmm I should do that mod too while I am in there, so it is the side panel that is taken out. Does it have a screw?

The mod to activate the rear fog lights is easy and requires taking apart the switch. I have done this a long time ago so can't remember all the steps. If I recall, no screw on removing side panel and switch. But taking apart the switch to cut the dummy fog button does have screws. |

Finally replaced my switch knob and did the tab delete and now have my rear fog light working. I had to also remove the bottom tray under the steering wheel
