2014 X1 tracking issue
Most of you know of the issue adding either the production number (can't be found) or the VIN (locks up your account) to the MYBMW site. Here's the latest I received from BMWNA:
"Our web team has advised they are aware that there is currently an error with adding 2014 model year production numbers to My BMW, and is working diligently to resolve the issue. At this time we have no estimated timeline for resolution. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused."<br /> So, in short, no fix yet. (BTW, the telephone system will track the production order number but has no luck with my VIN.) I wonder if the problem may stem from the fact that the 2014 X1 does not "exist" on the BMWUSA website. I assume that is because BMW wants to clear out their 2013 stock. |

This is ridiculous. It isn't the first time a model year has ended early. Their web team should be able to get this right before it becomes a problem. At this time, a 2014 should exist in their system. After all, you couldn't order a 2013 after 3/1, so they should have updated the configurator to 2014 specs then.
I tried to call them to unlock MyBMW so I could access my account on another car, but they told me to use a different email address and try a couple of days later. I did, and now I have 2 locked up accounts! |

Ok, when i called i got the run around and spoke to 3 people before the 3rd person knew what was going on. Tell them the following: 1) I logged into my accound and added the last 7 numbers for my 2014 model that is in production to my account. 2) After you added your vin the site recognized the color of the car but gave you the error unspecified model. 3) Then you got erred out and you no longer have access to your account. 4) Only items showing are to review saved cary you built under the build tab and portal to your BMW dealer and take a tour. This should get them to come up with 2 answers, 1 is to create new account, 2 is to have it restore your account. Last edited by Desler; 03-12-2013 at 09:46 AM.. Reason: spelling |

That's definately weird!
Mine shows everything correct, 2014 xDrive 28i. I used the production number, not the VIN if that makes any difference. |

Mine's OK too (xDrive28i; only ordered a week ago). Though it only show exterior and interior color options, not other optional equipment (is that OK?).

Mine's an xDrive 35i and I used the production number, so there seems to be no rhyme or reason for any of this. It shows the right colors, though.

mine shows correct color for interior and exterior. My car has already been produced and is waiting at the port of exit for a shipping vessel. I know its an x1 because that is what i ordered and also BMW NA phone line confirmed my model. The whole BMW NA site is messed up, i would not trust it. The 800 number is the way to go for tracking.

When I first entered the production number on my 2013 X1, the vehicle shown under Track My BMW was incorrect until the vehice actually entered production. I was told at the time that this is common. The website updated properly once the vehicle entered production.

Yup, perfect timing for a long weekend road trip to Santa Barbara when it gets delivered as I happen to have vacation days scheduled for the last week of April.

Need tracking phone #
Can someone give the 800 or 888 phone # for tracking?
Only having the production # now, will it work or do you need an actual VIN # to use the phone tracking? Thanks |
