Facelift plans?

Hi,
Anyone know of any plans for a facelift of the X1? I like it as it is but in no rush to buy just yet so wondering what the plans are for the model.

Posted here a year or so ago but not bought yet. Recently tested an X3 and the X1. X3 feels a little but more like a proper offroader (bouncy) and soaks up the bumps even better but also too large for what I require. First impression on getting into the X1 after the X3 was taht it shows it's a lower budget car but however it drives fantastically. Good grip, steering is better than that of the X3 (more direct), and feels more like that of a 3 series but of course with light offroad abilities and year round abilities too.

Also been reading various reviews. Read mixed opinions about the 23d engine. Is it actually more gruff? Find that a bit surprising as it's the same engine as the 20d just twin turbo?
Are there any future engines planned? Six cylinder 3.0d would be great although the 23 is probably enough.
Still have the X1 now and will be best part of 1.5 weeks with it before I hand it back. It's the 20d

As with any model, there's bound to be a facelift at some point. It's the facts of life. Me? Just need to get my X1 spotless.

BMW is supposed to alter the design of its cars on a regular basis, as the 3 luxury German brands do.
However I doubt there would be such plans before another 18/24 months, the X1 being very successful as it is and since its release in January last year.

I agree. Given the success of X1 is likely to be only changed at the end of 2012, although this model is likely to maintain for six years until 2015

having been launched in 2010, X1 LCI would likely be mid-2013

BMW change their models very slightly every 2-3 years then a full re-model every 7 years, so a 'new' model will be here in 2016/2017
