Ok, ordered one for $500 over invoice, but then the dealer called back and said production has ended for 2013 and I'd have to wait until March to order a 2014. He said he could probably trade another dealer who has an order in production, so we'll see.
Update: I got a production number, so I should be good to go....unless ordered cars have a tendency to get "lost" somehow. Last edited by DeepseaX1; 01-29-2013 at 10:10 PM.. Reason: Updated info |

Clear bra recommendation?
New to the forum, thanks for all the advice I've been able to get so far. Ordered a 2014 X1 28i msport, $1000 over invoice, here in the Seattle area. Arrives in a few weeks.
I'm considering a clear bra/paint protection film. Anyone have experience with this on their X1? Xpel vs. 3M vs. Venture shield vs. Avery nano? Dealer offered to do a basic half hood/mirrors/front bumper with a 3M product for $1595. Couldn't see the value there. Any advice on a local detail shop in the greater Seattle area would be great. Or if anyone has a product recommendation or recommendation on what parts of the car they covered, that would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Good to hear prices are coming down in Seattle. Congrats on the order. I haven't done clear bra (I don't like it), but I've had good tint/detail experiences with Accutint in SoDo and Accutint NW up on Aurora. Dealer prices are about double what you will pay at an indie shop and should definitely be avoided. With our X1 we did get the dealer stoneguard windshield treatment though. I do think that is worth it as BMW glass is notoriously soft and replacement is pricey.

Recently put in my order through military sales for a new 2014 xDrive28i. Ordered in Alpine White with cold weather, lighting, and ultimate packages as well as paddle shifters. Total price including delivery is $38,695.00.
It's scheduled to be built in week 23 and will be at my stateside dealer on or before August 25. We're headed back to the states from our current assignment in the UK on August 31 and I'm planning to pick up the X1 on Sept. 2. I'm quite excited for my first BMW. |

I, too, just put my order in through military sales for a new 2014 xDrive28i ($29,900.00). Ordered in Alpine White/Beige leatherette with cold weather pkg ($700), lighting pkg ($900), moon roof ($1,250), tech pkg ($2,250), Servotronic ($250) and paddle shifters ($120). Total price including delivery is $36,265. I'm returning from a deployment in June and should be picking it up around 1 July. This will be my 1st BMW and I’m pretty excited. Most people seem to add Sport or M trims, but I couldn’t justify the cost.

I felt the same. I really liked the sport seats - particularly the black leather with red stitching (I'm a past WRX owner and am quite partial to that look) - but I couldn't justify buying a sport-line just to get those seats. Add to that I really don't care for the look of the black mirror covers and gloss black interior trim bits. It's a shame those sorts of things got bundled into a package.

Just bought a 2014 xdrive 28i in San francisco area. Was xline with cold weather and ultimate pkg in black on black. Msrp was $42175 and I paid $39300. I'm guessing that was a good deal because I went to several other dealers with that price and none could beat it

Just placed an order for hubby on Saturday (SoCal), it was a little bit of pain to fit our double stroller in the back, two carseats fitted fine. But since the car is mainly for him to commute to work, so I'm not complaining as long as he's happy.

After much back and forth, I decided it times to act like I'm 30!
I placed an order for a 2014 x28 black/black base. Should be at port in three weeks. Got it for $28,965 before my trade and fees, total is around $33,000 OTD... Will be glad to have something with the Turbo and a littl better mileage than my 128 Last edited by Litflynt912; 06-10-2013 at 07:18 AM.. |

This is not U.S. pricing, but I figured some of you might be curious in knowing what others pay in other parts of the world.
Put a downpayment this past weekend on a 2014 X1 sDrive20i X-line: _ Mineral Gray Metallic _ Beige Interior Sensatec _ Panoramic Moonroof _ LED Amber Ambience Lighting _ Navigation w/ iDrive _ Rain Sensors _ Xenon lights w/ daytime driving _ 18” wheels _ Cruise Control (sounds like a joke, but it doesn't come standard here) _ Roof rack w/ 2 bike racks Total paid with taxes: USD $37,747 The cruise control will be installed by the dealer but it will take 3 weeks to get the parts from Germany and have them installed, but it was better than waiting 3 months for factory install. Delivery in 4 weeks. Can't wait!!! Last edited by Chris Pringle; 06-26-2013 at 02:10 PM.. |

This is my first post here on this forum. I am new to BMW, having driven primarily GM for many years. I am tired of fighting with GM for everything that should be there in the first place. It is too long of a story to go into and it is not relevant here.
Presently I am considering an X1. I do not know how the dealers move these cars, so I wanted to ask what would be a good deal on a 2014 X1 base model that has an MSRP of $31,725. I am located in South Florida. The sales tax here is 6%. What would be a decent "out the door" figure for this unit? |
