There is a free alpha out for the new call of duty on PS4. Spent hours playing it last night. I only have one complaint but its pretty fun and different.

My son and I used to play it, but haven't for a bit now. Thanks for the reminder to revisit.

Last weekend a MP trial session on Blizzard was offered, tried it and forget it. Randomlucking as always, no big innovations to expect, old title into new dress. For me not worth the money.

There's definitely some things that need to be fixed like the spawn locations but I enjoyed the MP beta. The 2v2 cage matches were fun.

Excited for the new COD. Haven't played COD for years now since I didn't enjoy the newer versions, but the latest one reminds me of the original COD MW and MW2. The beta was fun to play, will be buying once its out.

One of the great things about IL2 is that it is scalable from an almost-arcade game to a full-fledged simulator, depending how many computer-helper checkboxes you check (like for example: simplified physics or simplified engine management). And you can even enable computer tips which give you advise on what you're doing wrong during your flight. So it is accessible to almost everyone. But for the most authentic experience, you will eventually have to disable all the computer helpers from the simulator and fly purely relying on authentic instrumentation using real-life procedures and tactics. That's where this simulator really comes into its own, offering superlative, even transfixing experience of flight and aerial WW2 combat. Also you cannot skimp on hardware: as a minimum you will need VKB rudders, TrackIR and VKB or Virpil joystick (no cheap Logitech stuff). Good luck with your search (and if you're interested check some MagzTV Youtube IL2 videos). |

Falcon 4.0 has a big online community but thats one of the most complex simulations imo.
