Jos and Horner had a big argument after the race, wonder if that had anything to do with the sacking, probably not
Now I'm thinking RB knows the Max situation is serious, he's been offered something from Merc, they are doing their best to make him not leave. |

"Ferrari ‘want Red Bull F1 chief Christian Horner to join and become Lewis Hamilton’s boss’
The Sun - 27 May 2025 https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/35128...ewis-hamilton/ Does Fred Vasseur need to worry ? Red Bull Racing gave no reasons for Horner's termination with immediate effect earlier today.

Whatever people may think of him, he’s no doubt one of the most successful TP in F1 history. I sense an imminent move to Ferrari. Would be something if he’s able to end a two decade drought.

RB 100% has four cars on the grid. There is literally a video from several years back of Helmut yelling at a lessor RB team driver for blocking/slowing down a driver on the main team. This was in the pit garage too! I’ve always wondered why the FIA has remained silent on the issue for so long.

In other team sports the sure way for a manager/principal/head coach to get fired is to lose the team in the sense that key people quit and overall performance consistently drops. It may or may not be fair, but it's what is expected. I think Horner needed to go even though it's probably too late at this point to rescue the season or keep Verstappen. Red Bull needs a serious rebuilding and Horner has simply too much baggage and strained relationships to do it. The next question is now that Horner is out and Max is now the big dog, will he stay? Presumably he will have the opportunity to strongly influence further changes, but does he want to, or does he just want to focus on driving a good car and leave everything else to someone else (Toto?).

If he doesn’t end up at Ferrari, I’m sure it’ll somewhere else very soon. The only thing I think could derail the Ferrari move is I think Horner wants a part ownership of the team. A thing Ferrari will never do, unless something has radically changed there that I’m not aware of. |

No, some strange things happened lately: exceptional absence of GP Lambiase ("personal reasons") + exceptional absence of Fred Vasseur ("personal reasons") + Russell leaking that Mercedes and Verstappen have talks.

There has to be "a thing" that caused this and I don't think performance has nothing to do with it. F1 success is more cyclical than other sports because the rules and regulations are always changing so it's almost expected that a fall can be as quick as your rise. Red Bull has been through this cycle - success with Vettel, then they had to deal with Mercedes' run, got 2 successful years in the ground effect going into 2026.
Every team gets talent drain when you're successful, Mercedes experienced it towards their end and now Red Bull is dealing with it so it's hard for me to believe that Horner being let go is because on-track performance - this is just the nature of F1. |
