Horner in trouble at Red Bull

He'll probably break all ties in March-April next year when he's satisfied the RB17 super car project gets the seal of approval.
Can anyone really see him going to another team for more pressure at his age, I can't and he'll be looking forward to commandeering that yacht of his with the long awaited sea spray hitting the face.

This is why doing what you love should matter. I’m sure there is a level of stress when you’re chief designer for one of the biggest F1 teams and in such a highly competitive Motorsport but it’s not the same level of stress to when you’re at a job/position you hate or don’t enjoy.

Newey is potentially going to a team he’s been wanting to work at with a driver he’s been wanting to work with. I’m sure even at his age, he can find ways to tolerate the “stress”. He’s potentially checking off two things on this lifetime career bucket list.

In a perfect world yes, but with the way of the world most have to follow the daily grind until they build up their portfolio to command their own journey and can then slip out of the 'rat race'.
In AN's case he has a year and more to pick what he wants and probably having a chuckle with the wife at all the sudden interest from various other teams.

Is it Horner that's really in trouble? I don't think so, more like Wolff to me with wave after wave of problems stemming deep from Merc like a plague. Not only yet another wrong turn but this time with tech stats that can't be turned into making sense and the big one with Wolff's comments on MAX's future causing a reaction from Horner that has backfired on Wolff.
Maybe time for Wolff to leave F1.

This MB stuff is a bit comical with Alison. Everyone said, “he’s back and he’s as good as Newey, wait and see how the MB goes from 2nd to 1st with him”. Well it seems they just aren’t making the right progress. Not saying Alison isn’t good but again, one single man isn’t going to make or break a team.

Alison coming back to the mess that is Merc won't sort it on his own and for some time, a lot of his time will be chasing the mess made by others before getting down to doing what Newey did.

He owns a chunk of the team and financially it’s very profitable I’d say he isn’t going anywhere.

Horner however if he loses more people is still more likely to have an uncertain future.

Christian Horner has been sacked as CEO of the Red Bull Formula 1 team with immediate effect. He's replaced by Laurent Mekies.

Staff was informed earlier this morning.

Power grab attempt, Fionagate, Perez woes, RB21 woes, Adrian Newey and other staff woes, Liam Lawson woes, Jos and Max Verstappen woes, Yuki Tsunoda woes, WDC/WCC woes, Toto Wolff openly courting Verstappen: we can speculate about the reasons but it looks like Horner ran out of credit with the powers that be.

it's inevitable as the RB team is terrible this year. i was surprised he was there for so long while the WCC has almost no points from the second car. fell on his own sword in the end. he should have stepped down before being sacked.
