I upgraded my 2014, see higher up in this thread. The upgraded lights I installed worked great, you would not be able to tell the difference from outside to LCI. I had to remove them because I am trading my 2014 today. |

I've been searching on Alibaba for suppliers and have been talking to one for the past few days that seems to have what I'm looking for- the 2013+ Xenon lamps w/ the LED eyebrow that was incorporated with the LCI. The OEM parts they reference are 63117290261 / 63117290262, which look to be for the European market X1. Anyone aware of any differences? The seller is offering them for a few hundred less than what I've been able to find and has a good history/rating on Alibaba..

From what I can see, it looks fine. What I can稚 see is what ballast they used and what bulbs. Is it ds1 ? |

They have another listing that shows D1S bulb/ballast, but this one does not include anything for the low/high beams, I believe- which I'm OK with- I've contemplated just using LED's for the low/high beams anyway.

So the vendor sent me some pictures and will be shipping the assemblies out today. From the pictures, they show stock Valeo xenon housings and Osram D1S bulbs/ballasts, all with BMW p/n's on them- these look exactly like the OEM housings.
Based on the reading I'm doing now, it sounds like I have to do a little work on the factory harness to get a ground to the ballast and swap the shutter on/off to the high beam socket. I'll continue reading up in preparation for the swap... EDIT: also, the coding, which I've already coded some things with Carly, so that's not an issue for me. |

The ones I got was pin compatible with the halogen housing.
Just had to code off voltage monitor for high/low and angel eyes and then switch DRL to angel eyes. |

If not, then I'll have to troubleshoot and see if the harness needs to be re-pinned or tapped based on the findings from E90 swaps. |

So, the seller admitted they made a mistake, however wouldn't budge on supplying the led modules, or giving me a partial credit. I've filed a dispute with Alibaba, but I'm not counting on getting anything out of it. In the meantime, I purchased the led modules on ebay for a total of $150 (6 in total), bringing my total cost to $750.
While I'm waiting for those to come in, I wired up the xenons and tested them, and all is well- bi-xenon functions fine, shutters kick in when hi-beam is engaged, blinkers work. I haven't done any coding yet, which will be done once the modules come in and I can test the angel eyes. |

Hello there people, I have a question, I have a BMW X1 2010 with halogen headlight assembly, my question is if I purchase a BI Xenon headlight assembly with the matching part numbers compatible for my car would this then just be plug and play to fit maybe with a bit coding?
Thanks Daniel |

Hello there thanks for your reply, I値l probably look into a plug and play version, I came across these https://eurowagens.com/angel-eyes-he...-x1-e84-09-12/ they have the angel eyes and projectors but use halogen bulbs for high/low beams. I知 thinking these may be slightly cost effective for me.

At the least, you can probably throw some LED's in there- that'll be a nice improvement over halogens. You'll just have to code out the voltage monitoring if you don't want it to give you a warning every time you start them up. |
