With the full frame that would make sense. I've spent too much lately on gear though and have to cool it for a bit. My van just needed new tires and some major maintenance at 175K miles.

I'm also kind of keeping an eye on the rumors about the 600 DO.

I hand hold everything, so weight might be an issue, although I used to hand hold the old Series I 500mm, which is about the same weight.

DO sounds great, if it includes a weight reduction and no loss of IQ. I don't want to ask the price!!

A fine January afternoon in the far north of Scotland.
We've had a fabulous day here today, sunny and very mild at +13C.
I went for a long walk along the West Beach and managed to get this image just as the sun was dropping behind the cliffs.

Haven't gotten to use my camera much in a while, but took the pup for a walk down by the [partially frozen] Lake after Xmas and brought it with. Just wiped my drive clean and reloaded everything...haven't gotten a chance to calibrate my monitor and such so please let me know if the colors are off.

It's a little hard to judge color in that kind of scene, but it doesn't look bad.
