Sport-Line. Were you able to get any discounts at all on your X1 order? Can you PM me your deal? I really appreciate it. Take care.

Can't PM yet. I negotiated $1000 off msrp from the dealership and also received a voucher from BMW for $1000 from taking part in the Olympic "drive for team USA" event. Total of $2000 off MSRP. I felt it was a pretty good deal considering it was my dealers first allocation/order and it being a brand new just introduced model to our market. I'm happy with the deal! Later.

Thanks for the info. I believe you got a great deal. I would be happy with just the $1,000 off. The BMW dealership in Orland Park, IL said the best they could do is at MSRP. I was very disappointed with that response since I got my 535i xDrive from them. I will be looking elsewhere for the same Mineral Grey Metallic X1. Take care.

Thanks, Sport-Line. Just placed an order for a BMW X1 xDrive28i at Bergstrom BMW in Appleton. Thank you to those who had recommended Bill Schaff to me. He is a consummate professional, and he replies to all my emails very quickly, which is so helpful. I wish that all sales associates are like him.
Everything went smoothly (we were in and out in less than 20 minutes - and only because he had gone back to bring a car with the color that we wanted to order for our inspection). Does anyone know if I were to order the Servotronic option for the xDrive28i whether the car will come with electric power steering or not? The xDrive35i has Servotronic as a standard option, and the car comes with electric and NOT hydraulic power steering. Last edited by investor27; 07-07-2012 at 02:36 PM.. |

If I end up getting an X1 I expect to pay Invoice (including the $1,000 drive USA discount, so the dealer would actually get $1,000 over invoice...) |

Have the dealerships got demo vehicles in? I spoke to my local dealership and asked them to let me know when they got demos in, haven't heard back from them.
What are the lease deal available? BMW website doesn't have any of that information up there so far. |

With mid-late July production dates, expect them in August/early Sept. There aren't any programs on them yet; and I highly doubt it will be anything worthwhile until later this year.

Did anyone do a side by side comparison of the LCI vs non/LCI? the LCI looks so much better for some reason, what did they change exactly in exterior/mechanics?

I'd never drive my two dogs in it without folding down the seats. And even then, only for shorter trips, because the seats don't fold down flat -- there's only space for one large dog to lie down flat to sleep. With smaller dogs, there is an option to cover the rear seats and back of front seats with one piece of protective fabric, and keep dogs there. But that won't work with two large dogs. |
