I started dating my gf 3 years ago and she was set on doing a law major (i was doing mechanical engineering). She knew nothing about cars/bmws and now she's studying engineering, drives a manual, and spots other bummers and sends me pictures. I even caught her on the forum a few times.

I had a GF, then bought my e93. She loved that it was a bmw, but hated when I put the top down. "my hair"...blah blah blah. So I broke up with her. haha not really but it was annoying she complained about that all the time.

wife used to not care about cars, until I infiltrated both her mind and her vagina......
in the last 8 years, she has driven an SRT4, an STi, a Trans Am WS6, an SRT8300C and a 335i..... she NOW currently drives a 470hp SRT8 392 Challenger.... so, as far as the question of "And what does your wife/girlfriend/significant other think of your car?", she actually doesn't like my car because in her words "it's a slow piece of shit compared to mine"...... |

The E90 is the wife's DD, but I don't think she has even filled the tank more than thrice. I get to do all the maintenance deliveries, she just picks it up after it's ready (and I paid for the repairs). She dislikes the open sunroof/windows, I detest the A/C. . .

My wife drives the 1er daily and is just as involved as modding it as I am. Wanted the matte black grill, and picked out vmr wheels for it too. I chose the suspension, exhaust and am working on building a carbon fiber intake. I think I lucked out with her, haha.

Wife is not really a car person, but she does like nice cars.
We recently gave my mom our W204 (as pictured), and we are driving her old vehicle (99 Avalon) as a Daily Driver. She wants to keep the 99 Avalon, and buy a C63AMG as a daily (the 6.2 V8 one, not the cheap @ss new turbo one which will come out). |

Wife loves cars. She has a Volvo XC90 for hauling kids around but as she get back from school drop-off, she's driving her 1974 2002Tii. I think she loves that car more than me! But that's OK, I kind of feel the same way about my M3...

ODO is broken but roughly 120,000. We got it from an older gentleman who owned it since 1976 and kept it in excellent condition. Unfortunately he developed Alzheimer's and simply reached a point where while living with his daughter, was finally forced to let the car go. It is completely stock with the exception of a 5-speed transmission...

Dated a pretty cool chick when I lived back in Houston - had to cut it loose when I moved since long distance shit doesn't work.
She wasn't much of a car chick before we started dating but that changed after a few months of riding around with me. She loved the sound of the car's exhaust note (i rev match alot lol) and would tell me how the vibrations turned her on lol. |

My SO is slowly learning about cars. I try to get her outside with me any time I need to do any work to her car or my car so she can pick up on things. She can accurately identify Porsche Boxsters, but has a hard time identifying a 911 from a Cayman.
Slow work in progress. She doesn't mind that I enjoy cars and investing in mine, as long as she gets her hand bags and shoes and shit. Go figure. |

I have a GF (been together three years, living together 2.5 of those 3). I made it clear from the very start IDGAF what she thinks about what I drive, my spending habits toward it, and NEVER will. She was cool with it then and cool with it now. We divide our finances...she pays for her shit, I pay for mine, and those things we share are split in half. Her credit sucks, so I put mine down for her to get her used 2008 Jeep Liberty that gets her from A to B and does the grocery\hardware store runs. It's my credit, but her money pays the payments. She likes it well enough.
I thank God everyday I am NOT with a "car girl". I have no desire to have THAT much in common with a "significant other"...there would be money fights. I am POSITIVE of that. I love the fact that I don't have to "ask permission" to do shit. I get sick of the car I have, want a new one, and have the money? I go fucking buy it (as I did with the BMW I have now). The conversation concerning the purchase went like this: "I am going to Houston with my buddy and coming back in a 135i." (I had showed her pics of it previously while shopping). Her response was "Ok, baby, you and your buddy have fun for the weekend." |
