If you see the Speed comparison on many cars pass Turn 16 and see how un-settle they are. Ferrari and RBR does well, and of course HRT and Lotus are not as good.

Aside from the lack of scenery, the track looks awesome. It is sufficiently twisty to provide a good challenge, while the first sector has some terrifically long stretches to make sure overtaking is a possibility. let's hope it lives up to expectations in the race (which is forecast to have rain!!)

I really enjoyed those pics of the championship contenders joking around and hanging out. Shows that these guys are all pretty cool with each other and are having fun with it.

RBR did a great job of sliding a late time in there.
Look out for Alonzo on the start though. MW is on the dirty side & SV hasn't had many starts to write home about. FA has the grippy side of the track too.

agree.. the start will be interesting. I'm pretty nervous for both the RBR boys.
Currently running both SV and Alonso in my fantasy league tho so it's looking good for me

I think SV is done screwing up the starts, but we need a few more races to make that stand . MW is the one screwing up recently. SV will have a tricky start since he needs to block FA and get a jump start on MW at the same time. If he pulls it off, he'd be unstoppable for a championship win, either this year or in the next few. He has made every rookie mistake on the book, and he seems to be a fast and focused learner, plus possibly the fastest driver, so unless plagued by mechanical problems, he's on his way to the top. Man, wish I was on that position at 23 ; I was busting my a$$ with 3 jobs to be able to finish college (I did). And I'd have done it for the 25 grand I got after graduating, let alone millions like those guys get. Must be nice .

man, what a crazy race. Btwn all the rain and delays, then all the sloppy racing, crashes everywhere. Too bad for SV, he was having a pretty good race. I dont feel as bad for Webber since that was his fault for going off into the paint too much, sux for Rosberg too, he looked like he was trying everything he could to avoid any contact.
I couldnt believe LH couldnt capitalize from all of this, both RedBulls out, Alonso w/ a huge mistake by the pit crew, he should have won this race but props to Alonso for not crying like a baby and doing nothing about it like usual, he had the best race out of anyone other than SV before his engine let out |

Got my wish of MW DNFing, but wasn't wishing that for SV (he's had the worse luck)... and even less for freaking FA to win with both RBs out . Oh well. SV is clearly the best rain driver as well since they were lapping 20 sec higher than qualifying (cars weren't a big factor). It was going to be an easy win for him (tires looked pretty good after his DNF), but shit happens. Button is basically out, and for practical purposes, Vettel as well. Seems to be between the top 3 now.
Since everybody can put a fresh engine on Abu Dhabi, the last wild card race is Brazil. And FA is also using 'recycled' engines. In fact, pretty much everybody will, no? I thought SV had one left, and was surprised to hear at the beginning of the race he was on a used one. Brazil will be an interesting race as well, mostly due to the reliability factor. Have a good one folks. Last edited by JCtx; 10-24-2010 at 04:00 PM.. |

disgusted with the DNF for Vettel, he led the race from beginning to disaster engine failure end.
