So it's my detailers birthday in 2 weeks, and I said I would do something special for her the night before (she has dinner with her brother on the night). She's always wanted to stay at a local hotel that's very old (oldest hotel in the area) so I said I'd get us a couple of rooms.

She said one room is fine - she can curl up next to a friend. Ok.

Then I had told her I'd arrange for a massage for her at a spa somewhere that day as well. That's fine - she picks a treatment I need myself, but she asks if we can do a couples massage so she feels less awkward.

She's either VERY comfortable naked and/or cuddling up to friends, or she's yanking my chain in the worst way.

Why can't she just be mean to me so I don't care any more

She has narcolepsy - so her sleep patterns are a bit weird, But even so - when she suggested sharing a room I said I'm likely to roll over in my sleep and cuddle her - she said she's done the same before too, and wasn't fazed :/

Yes - the massage could be hell awkward. I couldn't think of anything more awkward that that but if that's what she wants...

Although if they don't do that massage as a couples thing, I said I'd come and sit with her for her massage. Might be somewhat less awkward for me at least!

I still think you should ask her to come over on a random night, pour some drinks and see where that goes. Sounds like you don't want to miss the window of opportunity (attraction) and frankly she's a trooper for sticking it out this much, but something tells me she's just genuinely waiting for you to take the ropes and just flop your dick out on the table.

dinonz my advice to you on this one is to cease and desist. I can't add anything else here. With any aspect of life you must achieve balance. You are way off balance here. You need to recenter yourself sir. Your effort is less than your attainment. I'd start looking at this relationship (on whatever level it's on) with more of business minds-eye. If you continuously throw money at something and it doesn't yield results, time to change something fast. Just my advice sir. I hate seeing people be used.

This is true - but I don't think he's being used, not necessarily. After getting in my relationship all her friends have been asking for advice/help and she relays most to me, and 99% of the girls' guy problems come from the guy not taking charge. They absolutely hate it, even the one girl that's a self-proclaimed "alpha female" (I think that's absolutely repulsive but whatever).


It kinda sounds like our man is waiting for her to make the first move to be sure, which I understand, but what's the worst that can happen man?
You might need a new detailer? It's not like every 17 year old high schooler has a "detailing business" nowadays.

Valid points made here. I typically have a 4 date rule. If sex is not had by the 4th date, a 5th will not be had. Then again, I don't wait for them to make a move. I gauge the vibes and play off that. dinonz my man, you're going to have to be aggressive here, but not so aggressive that she is running away.
