IMHO, go with a two piece poly bushing for making installation a lot easier. Up to you whether or not to go with the cheapest (whiteline) or a set of powerflexes et al. No negative affect on ride quality. They just stop a lot of the rear squirm during cornering. I put whitelines in my buddy's 135 (mine too a year or so ago) last weekend in 1.5 hours using the jack/torch method of popping the OE bushings out. Easy peasy. |

Once mine had finally settled and softened, the overall comfort did not sufferred with obvious steering and grip improvement. The only downside is on big high-speed bumps- as the springs are stiffer, the shocks struggle to stabilize the body movement up and tgen down. City use cause no issues at all. |

I think we all had the same idea this week. H&R Sports. Might need bilstein struts..
Just did this today. Little bumpy ride but hope it softens up just a tad. Been a while since I had a lowered car. Looks the way it should have with M Package. Have a great weekend! |

Looks great! How many miles on your car? Maybe the stock shocks are getting a bit weak? Was there a lot in your trunk? That looks much lower than mine in the back.
Haven't driven it much to comment on any weak dampening yet, but I think mine actually rode better than stock. Hoping I can hold off on a set of HDs for a while. |

255/40-18. Maybe mine will settle a bit more, but yours looks much lower. Moreso than other H&Rs I've seen.
And remind me to stay on your good side. |

Not sure if you mean mine or Denver's, but fwiw, fronts are 18x8 ET 40 with a 12mm spacer, rears are 18x9 ET40 with a 15mm.
They were my E46 M3 snow tires. Certainly room for a larger spacer, especially up front. |

Been a week now..yeah I should have done struts also. Rides too bouncy.
I saw some H&Rs Here for sale and they were black. Mine are blue, and they were drop shipped direct from H&R in WA. Maybe they changed and are lower now. I have BMW Style 225 With no spacers. 3er E90+ 8x19 front ET 37 225/40/19 3er E90+ 9x19 back ET 39 255/35/19 I'm really sick of my RFTs. Ive had to replace 3 from road damage and changed the set once because they wear pretty quick. Last edited by X1Denver; 07-30-2015 at 10:33 AM.. |

I hope H&R didn't change, because I'm close to ordering, and I like PA's ride height better. On their website, they claim 1.2" drop, with variance for M-pkg. BTW, I ditched the RFs before anything else, and they improve the ride greatly, depending on tire choice. Much quieter, too. |

I'm picking my X1 up tonight / tomorrow.
My friend works at a company called M Style here in the UK a BMW aftermarket parts place. Getting a set of H&R springs for it as I have a set on my MK5 R32.. What bushes are people recommending changing??? |

http://www.topgearsolutions.com/whit...g-bmw-e90.html Use the torch/jack method to get them out (really simple...uses the weight of the car to press the OE rubber bushings out after you've heated them with a small propane torch you can buy at a hardware store). Big difference in rear-end stability. |

Hi, all,
I'm out, having traded my E84 and bought a F30 320i M-Sport. Sitting on the floor and drifting a bit again. I'm happy to be back to the "tastes of childhood" after 7 years of driving E46 330i M-Sport and E81 120i M-Sport with a 15 month of E84 Sport Line "crossover break". But would like to thank you all for a great hospital atmosphere you keep in this forum! Will miss you guys and will be happy to help with any advise I'm able of- drop me PM- I have the immediate info via email.
