I can't wait to see/hear about the results of all of this. Here is a stupid question.... do you plan on removing everything when you have to bring it to the dealer? Or will you have an indy service it?

It's not rocket science and it saves me tons of hassle and money. It's liberating not having to rely on a dealer for everything, and a lot safer when you start modding. |

yea i have a friend who works at bmw to do all the work after hours.
Para why did you change the spark plugs so soon? Also did you get the spark plugs 1 stage colder because of the added horse power they say for every 60 hp to 100 hp should drop 1 stage or heat range. |

We have the same engines as the 135 and 335, so I spent a ton of time seeing what the highest performance guys do. The recommendation is to change every 10-15k if you are running a heavy e85 blend and a lot of boost, and you're exactly right - I use NGK 5992 plugs which are one heat range colder. I actually got rid of the stock plugs at 3k to switch over.

Thanks for the input I'm thinking about getting a sport exhaust. Do you know any good preference? Checked some nice brands like Akrapovic, Eisenmann, Supresprint etc. and none of them produce any for E84 just yet CMIIW. Although, remus does. But I'm not very sure about the sound. |

Just installed JB4 over the weekend... Running the ISO firmware Map 5 (with 94 Octane) with an otherwise stock X1. This thing hauls now that is for sure!! It is weird though, I can totally understand that it can be underwhelming at times but if your in the right gear and once you do a few WOT pulls this thing really shines!! Pretty awesome for a relatively cheap mod!

So I got around to get the down pipe and intake installed, I didn't bother installing the charge pip. JB4 had wrong harness, go figure, so I'm waiting on replacement. The dp and intake combo makes for an awesome sound, I'll post a video soon.

JB4 it's in, it's really quick now. Hopefully I can hit the drag strip and get me some race gas.
