I totally agree with you on all points (opinions). I personally would love to see an AT last 7years and if i had to replace my AT at the 7 year mark i have no problem with that. I currently have a G500 and i have gone through 2 transmission in 12 years and 180,000 miles+(another story). It does cost to play and that include just driving your car. While I agree with you on the planned obsolescence / failure if it can be shown that it was intentionally planned that would open up a huge class action lawsuit (APPLE).

Dinan doesn't like tuning beyond the capabilities of the stock parts or they engineer new replacement parts that are added as part of the increasing stage of tunes as they go beyond stock limits. So their Stage 2 N55 tune is rated up to 350HP / 400TQ (flywheel numbers), in the real world that has come out to be about 330TQ at the wheels.
