What else did they share? They will sell a lot of this for sure but will people buy the x1. VW had been rebranded in china for long time and share the same design a while.

Somewhere in Munich, a BMW designer threw up in his mouth a little bit.

If we're still talking about the BRZ, from what I read Subaru did most of the engineering but couldn't build it so Toyota did design work and leveraged their cash and manufacturing resources to physically build it. That's an example of a great collaboration, I have no idea why BMW is involved in this nonsense aside from the money they gain which is fine.

They have made profits more important than quality, and sacrificed their German Quality Tradition. Now I know many love their BMW's, but I don't love where it's headed. Pity. |

The Germans have been doing this for years. Benz has been sharing its older platforms with the Koreans (look up SsangYong), and most recently the Crossfire (based on first generation SLK), and two generations of Jeep Grand Cherokees (based on ML)

THIS IS HORRIBLE! I'd rather drive a pinto or gremlin...HELL give me a pontiac Aztec...I think BMW needs to rethink the cross platform idea here
