the shoot took place in Portugal a few weeks ago, except the ones on the #1 post. The city is Lisbon. And the others are in Serra da Estrela, excellent road and view. I'm looking forward to see the X1 on the road, I think it's a great product from BMW and in the beggining of 2010 it's going to be difficult for me to choose between a 1-Series Coupe or this X1... I'm sure here, in Portugal, it will have great sucess. Best regards |

I like it as well. Maybe an M3 and a X1 in my future.

hello from bavaria.
after a short testdrive with a pre-production x1 i have ordered my x1 on saturday.. it will be a xdrive28i with e.g. 19" bmw v296 (z4/individual) - delivery date ~end of november.. it feels like being in a bmw 3 - a little higher, but not unathletic; "performance control" works great; aand the x1 acts more massive than a vw tiguan to me (despite nearly identical length and width - the x1 is ~12cm flatter) greetings |

Is that picture a photoshop? Do you have more info on individual/accessories 19inch wheels? How much are they? I am dying to find out more. Quote:

yes the rims are shopd - but i have paid attention to the dimensions of the rims / car..
these rims are an option for the new z4 - if the circular hole, payloads, offset etc fits on other bmws you can get them ex factory - and these fits four with tires for the x1 cost about 2,500 € ex factory. bmw have a lot of accessories/individual-rims.. http://www.bmw.de/de/de/owners/acces...figurator.html the x1 will be shown there soon.. the rest of my x1 is not individual^^ but you also can get special car paint, special leather, decorative strips etc - of course for the x1.. bmw individual (m gmbh) makes it possible. |

Wow I am really surprised the offset works...
Please make sure you post pics when you get the X1. You will have a unique car. Quote:

now when you say it, maybe they are different (which i do not know for sure) but that would be nothing new - many rims-models are available with different payloads, offset etc. maybe the m gmbh simply install track plates xD
tomorrow iŽll take some pictures at iaa, frankfurt - any pics-wishes? |

Fastkrass, do not want to disappoint you but you should check with your dealer whether you can actually fit these wheels. I am sure you know this but just in case summarizing what I know:
I am no expert but if the offset is different you may damage your wheels by fitting them to another car. It is due to torque forces on the rim being different which may twist the spokes of the rim. E.g. there is similar 21inch chrome wheel (Sternspeiche 128) for both X5 and X6 -although looking identical they have different offsets and are not interchangable. http://www.salesafter.de/index.php?id=90 Quote:

thanks for the advice
with "many rims-models are available with different payloads, offset etc" i approximately meant the same: "..for both X5 and X6 -although looking identical they have different offsets and are not interchangable." donŽt think that bmw mount rims which donŽt fit. the rims will be mounted in the factory where the x1 is built and i also fetch him - not afterwards. |

wow, i still ask myself --- whats wrong with blue, silver, red, black or any other of the normal colours?? much hate for the silly marketing person who thought that sludge-poo brown is good colour to represent this car (which in real life looks pretty good btw!).

I really am a fan of the X1 - nice front and back. Disappointed that the shifter isn't the new style...
