You just have to have acct active for 7 days and make posts or comment on other people posts, I believe people appreciating your post will increase your level and you will unlock PM

Just compliment other people or leave a funny comment so people appreciate it

All valid points and I am surprised admin is refusing to provide clarity on how to enable PM functionality. I guess admin is hoping to see people contributing and sharing their thoughts on the forum before rewarding them with the PM access. On other hand not everyone is tech savvy enough to be able to contribute on multiple topics.

Ditto, happy to make valuable contributions if I can, always ready to help out others, not only "consuming", but thresholds like these will probably not improve things on forums like this one... Most probably, this may simply cause quite the complete opposite to happen...
Anyway, great forum, I'll share my experiences with upgrading halogen to LED in the correct forum post so that others will benefit from it....
