Honestly, they need to move to spec cars. I think that's the best thing for the series. At the same time, I know pretty much all of the drivers in F1 would hate knowing theyre on equal terms with everyone else.

The issue now is why is F1 pushing so much sustainability and electrification when Motorsports have nothing to do with it. It is, always has been, and always will be just a form of entertainment and excess. So stop pretending.

it's not the cars on race day. it's the 365 day circus - air freight of car, motor, spare parts, tires, hospitality, caravans, sometimes building an entire track for the one week event, and everybody's private jets or first class seats.

the fuel burnt on race day is just a drop in the ocean circus. using 1000% sustainable fuel does squat other than 2000% marketing.

There are loads of lame spec series. So tedious if you actually like cars, teams and engineering.

The driver is only a part of F1. It’s a true team sport, strategy, engineering, driving. That’s why it is the pinnacle. If that changes I’m gone.

Me too, other than F1 I'll watch a few A$$car races and the Indy 500.

Oh, and The 24 Hours of Le Mans.

For me it will be back to some BTCC and Le Mans, I don't like where F1 is being dragged with empty words from Sulayem about V8's etc.

There will be Spa F1 races in '26 '27 '29 and '31. Spa will be missing from the calendar nearly every other year. Here's an old school chap giving his take on the history on Spa F which I found interesting. Make your own mind up on the spacing of the races being held there in the years coming.
