I'm not surprised one bit that Sainz is holding up well against LeClerc.

When he got hired by Ferrari an acquaintance said he was ready to wager that LeClerc will beat him. He never did. Same thing in this board, nobody wanted to take my wager on Max beating Ham.

I already won my wager in this forum on Max outpointing Perez, much more than I expected.

Yes, it’s on the the team radio stream. Data indicated gear shift delays coming out of a few turns. He switch to a fail mode to compensate and lost some pace.

That's exactly it. Lewis's nuthuggers can't admit that his success is primarily attributable to the car, unlike that chase scene in Gone in 60 Seconds when the GT500 destroys the 528i in the LA canals:

Cop 1: It's probably mostly the car.

That's what's going on in F1 for all of these guys who win 5-7 championships. Learn some humility Lewis fans. The only way you'll ever know who the best truly is is by putting them all in the same car, year after year, for 10 years straight.
Until then $$$ will rule F1, because $$$ allows for better technology and preferential treatment.
